Bilhères, an important pastoral district
Bilhères en Ossau lies on the road to the Marie Blanque pass, which separates the Aspe and Ossau valleys and is regularly crossed by the Tour de France cyclists.
The village, which overlooks part of the valley, is made up of old houses with beautiful 16th and 17th century doors decorated with decorative keys.
It is also a Mecca for Ossalois pastoralists, along with the magnificent Benou plateau a little further west.
The area offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including mountain biking, horse riding and hiking. There's something for everyone.
