Coming to the Ossau Valley

BY CAR

From Pau: Follow signs for Zaragoza, Gan then Arudy, Laruns on the D934 and Gourette or Artouste.
From Bordeaux: Take the A65 Bordeaux-Pau or the N10
A65: Bordeaux -Pau then follow signs for Saragosse, Gan, Arudy, Laruns
  • To get to Artouste: leave Laruns heading towards Spain, Col du Pourtalet 20 km from the Artouste resort (journey time from Pau approx. 1h15).
  • To get to Gourette: take the Laruns exit towards Gourette, Col d'Aubisque, 12 km from the Gourette resort (approximately 1 hour's drive from Pau).

Useful info if you have to drive in the city of Pau

Since 2017, in France, a Crit'Air vignette is required to be able to return to certain cities.
The town of Pau, which is located near the Ossau valley, is subject to this regulation.
You will therefore need to equip your vehicle with this sticker if you have to go to the agglomeration of Pau (or other cities present on the government site).

In Pau, a ZFE-m zone is in force for its agglomeration. All "unclassified" vehicles (without vignette) are therefore prohibited from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm.
