The plateau of Bénou (900 m), located in the Ossau Valley, in the direction of the Col de Marie-Blanque, the pass that connects the Ossau Valley to the Aspe Valley, is the ideal place to practice family activities.
It offers a superb panorama on the bottom of the valley, very pretty panorama on the surrounding massifs. Many hikes start on the spot on the different plateaus: Houndas, Roland and Técouère and stone circles (chromlechs). At the beginning of July, the plateau is the scene of a traditional rendezvous "the transhumance". It becomes then the place of gathering of the herds before the departure towards the pastures of altitude. Possibility of horseback riding in summer. In winter it is a great playground for family snow activities (sledging, snowshoeing...).
