The Bear Train ride

Presentation

After taking the Artouste gondola and train up to the top, the return hike through the Soussouéou valley will take us along a torrent, through an area of peat bogs in the heart of the granite, then through the forest dotted with clearings, up to an altitude of 1,400 m on an immense glacial plateau.
We'll take the Grand Coq chairlift, and after a short ascent on foot we'll reach the departure station and the cable car. An opportunity to discover one of the most beautiful and secret hikes in the Ossau valley.
 

Organisation :

Meet at 7.45am in Laruns or 8.15am in front of the ticket office at Lac de Fabreges.
Car pool or private vehicle to Fabrèges lake (30 mins from Laruns).
600 m ascent and 100 m ascent - 4h30 to 5h walk. 
Return to the car park at around 5.30pm.
