The lake is located at the bottom of a small circus bounded by Pene-Medaa (2521 m) and Arre Sourins (2614 m). On the eastern flank of the circus are the remains of an iron mining exploitation. The mining galleries, for some totally blocked by landslides, alongside traces of the railroad that allowed the evacuation of materials. Ruins of building testify of the exploitation facilities, including the houses of miners. There is also a gallery and facilities on the other side of the mountain, downstream of Lake Uzious. Found there including a water channeling water line of Lake Uzious and the turbine which allow to produce energy. Access by the GR 10: 4h to go and return, or the chairlift Cotch - paying - in July-August : 1h go - back either by chairlift or by the GR10.
