Louvie-Soubiron, from one valley to another
Built on the mountainside, the village of Louvie-Soubiron offers remarkable views of the valley, including walking towards the hamlet of Listo, which culminates at 882m towards the east.
Louvie-Soubiron was famous for its very white marble exported for some buildings monuments of Paris and that can be found here and there on the facades of Ossaloises houses and churches. A pedestrian and heritage circuit (the career circuit) is dedicated to him.
The territory of the town is very extensive and the originality that it extends over two valleys: Ossau and Ouzom on the edge of the department of Hautes-Pyrénées. It is the district of Eschartès where a heritage circuit, dedicated to the Baburet Mines, is also proposed from the village of Ferrières.
